Our History
Booth & Koskoff began as the Law Offices of Lawrence R. Booth in 1984. At the time, Larry Booth had been practicing law for 25 years and had been handling catastrophic personal injury cases for most of that time.
Larry had already firmly established himself as one of the top plaintiff’s attorneys in the United States while practicing with the firm of Silver, McWilliams & Booth for over 20 years.
He was among the first attorneys elected to the Inner Circle of Advocates, an organization limited to 100 of the top trial lawyers in the United States which meets annually to discuss cutting-edge legal strategies in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
In 1978, Larry was elected President of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association, the largest local trial lawyer association in the country.
In founding his own firm, Larry wanted to focus on a limited number of major catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases in a small firm environment.
Joined by Richard Koskoff and Roger Booth
Richard Koskoff, a former criminal defense attorney, joined the firm soon after it opened, and Roger Booth, after six years with a large firm in San Francisco, followed in 1997.
In 1997, both Larry and Richard had the rare honor of being among 11 attorneys nominated as “Trial Lawyer of the Year” by the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, in recognition of separate multi-million dollar verdicts that they each obtained that year.
